If you chose to outsource the economic unemployment notifications to Proxy Support,

you have access to a limited version of Administration of temporary unemployment,

you do not have access to Follow up economic unemployment.

Consult your payroll officer for more information.

The Follow up economic unemployment module gives you an overview of the notifications sent to the National Employment Office (RVA) for temporary unemployment on economic grounds. Only temporary unemployment on Economic grounds is eligible for an extension (see regulations).

The Economic grounds notifications which are displayed, must meet the following criteria:

the notification has not been extended before

the notification has not been canceled

the validity end date is undefined or is situated beyond the end date of the registration plus the compulsory work resumption period

in Administration of temporary unemployment, the status of the Economic grounds risk must contain the Notification OK value.

Extend economic unemployment

A notification sent to the National Employment Office (RVA) for temporary unemployment on economic grounds can be extended when the joint status of the registration is set to Notification OK.
What is a joint status?

1.Go to Recurring actions.

2.Click on Administration of temporary unemployment.

3.Click on Follow up economic unemployment.
The notifications that are eligible for extension in the next four months are displayed and sorted by end date. This means that the notifications which need to be evaluated the most urgently are shown at the top of the list.
Example: In November 2012, only the potential extensions up to February 2013 are displayed. Notifications which can only be extended as from March 2013 will only be displayed from December 2012.

4.Click Details for the notification you wish to extend.

5.The date Du, Au and Description (From, To dates and the Description) are already preloaded and cannot be changed.
Under these fields, an overview is displayed of the contracts for temporary unemployment on Economic reasons.

6.Click Prolonger (Extend).

7.Enter the details in the Caractéristiques (properties) and Sélection (selection) tabs.
See: Consult and/or change temporary unemployment.

8.Click Save.

Copies of the declaration sent to the authorities are available to be consulted in the Document archive

Joint extension of multiple notifications

Multiple notifications are jointly submitted for extension if the details in the Properties tab (except for the start date) and the end date are identical.
This occurs if additional notifications are created in addition to the initial notification, and these additional notifications have been sent to the authorities. This may be the case when a new employee takes up service during the temporary unemployment period.
See FAQ: New employee takes up service, notification of temporary unemployment has already been sent to the authorities, situation 2.

To jointly extend multiple notifications,

the details in the Caractéristiques (properties) tab of these notifications must match.

Notifications that belong together must have the same end date.

The joint status of the notifications you wish to jointly extend must be Notification OK.

If these requirements are met, the notifications will be jointly submitted on one line in the Follow up economic unemployment module. On the Sélection (selection) tab you will see that the employees that are displayed are the sum of the employees of the various notifications.
