Professor Jeremias Prassl is a Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford, a Deputy Director of the Institute of European and Comparative Law, and an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law. He is the author of Humans as a Service (OUP 2018) and The Concept of the Employer (OUP 2015), as well as an editor of The Contract of Employment (OUP 2016), Chitty on Contracts (33rd ed, Sweet & Maxwell 2018) and a number of edited collections. Jeremias read law at Oxford, Paris, and Harvard, and has received a British Academy Rising Star Engagement Award to further his work in European Employment Law. He regularly advises international organisations, governments, and private sector organisations on the future of work, technology, and innovation.

Steven van Hoorebeke is currently CEO of SD Worx Group. He joined the group in 2011 as Managing Director of the International division and the company has expanded considerably since. Today, SD Worx has operations in 10 countries and the group employs close to 4,150 people. Previously, Steven was Managing Director at Fujitsu Belgium & Luxembourg and CEO of Logica Belgium. He also held various management positions at Oracle Belgium. At the end of 2017 he was one of the nominees for the prestigious title of Trends Manager of the Year.

Ans De Vos is a professor at the University of Antwerp and Antwerp Management School (AMS) where she holds the SD Worx chair, ‘Next generation work: Creating Sustainable Careers’. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on topics such as sustainable careers, career counselling and self-management. In this context, Ans De Vos, together with SD Worx, conducts research into changing employment relationships, the future of jobs, career competences and sustainable career policy. From both the employer’s and the employee’s perspective: what are the conditions for a successful talent policy for both internal and external employees? Ans De Vos will share with you the first findings of our research.

Beatrice de Mahieu is a Belgian entrepreneur and strategy consultant. During her career she contributed to the development and growth strategies of large companies in telecom and media. After several years at Microsoft, she decided to focus on coaching start-ups in their search for seed capital and the development and roll-out of a strategy. In addition, she became an investment expert and member of the board of directors of one of our country’s major investment funds. In 2013 she co-founded the Pimento Map method, a tool used by companies to easily and quickly test their business plan. She also helped establish the Virtuology Academy, a knowledge centre for innovation and entrepreneurship. Beatrice de Mahieu was recently appointed Chief Innovation Officer at Co.Station Belgium. In this role, she focuses on corporate venturing and open innovation between start-ups and companies.

After a 24-year career at the French-speaking public broadcaster RTBF, Christophe Deborsu started working at RTL Belgium in 2015. In Flanders, too, Christophe is far from unknown. For example, he took part in “De Slimste Mens ter Wereld” (The World’s Smartest Person) programme, from 2012 to 2015 he was attached to Woestijnvis independent Flemish TV production company, and he publishes a daily column in Het Belang van Limburg newspaper.

As Senior Managing Consultant at SD Worx Consulting, Jan Laurijssen guides organisations, teams and managers through the implementation of new ways of working. Teleworking, for example, or activity-based working, self-managing teams and other forms of innovative labour organisations. Together with Ans De Vos, he also coordinates the research into careers and career policy, talent pooling and talent supply chain management.

Peter is the founder and Managing Director of Protime, a specialist in time registration, personnel planning and collaboration solutions. As a rapidly growing company, Protime has been voted a 'Great Place to Work' in Belgium and the Netherlands six times in a row, making it one of the top employers in Europe. Peter is passionate about corporate culture and believes it sets companies apart in the 'war for talent'. Flexibility and intrapreneurship are key elements of a company's corporate culture.

Philippe Lallemand started his career at the Belgian Ministry of Finance. As an expert, he was invited to sit on specialist parliamentary committees and managed the Emile Vandervelde study centre. In 1999 he became a director of Smap-Omob, now Ethias. He held the position of special advisor to the board of directors, the financial investment department and the HR department. Since 2009 he has served on the Ethias’ board of directors as head of Communities and Businesses. Lallemand was appointed CEO of the insurance company in the spring of 2017.

Sébastien Delfosse started at ManpowerGroup Belux in 2012 as Sales & Operations Manager. In 2015 he became HR & Legal Director and member of the Belgian management team. The same year he also became Director of the ManpowerGroup in Luxembourg. Sébastien helps the company successfully handle the digital transformation by implementing new organisational models and giving talent development a central place in the strategy of the group’s various brands. With 10 years of experience acquired at Federgon, the Belgian Federation of HR services providers, earlier in his career, he knows the labour market like the back of his hand. From Legal Advisor at the sectoral federation, he was promoted to Communications & Public Affairs Director

Tom Wouters has been the new Vice-President of SD Worx Belgium since the beginning of this year. He has the ambition to further strengthen the position of SD Worx as Belgian market leader in payroll services. Tom knows our company inside out. He started his career at SD Worx in 1995, was promoted to COI and was head of the Belgian Large Enterprises division.

Sylvain Dal Vecchio was appointed Financial Director at Fujitsu Belux in January 2010. He is responsible for the whole Benelux region since 2014. He has been working on the (digital) transformation of the Fujitsu team for many years. For instance, he successfully implemented Robotic Processing Automation – RPA, the automation of definable, repetitive rules-based processes – without sacrificing employee engagement. He also introduced a cafeteria plan in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Birgit Bellens is HR Interim Manager at group level at Alcopa. Her interest in HR was awakened at KPMG, her first employer, where she was initially hired as a lawyer and tax specialist. When she became Director People Services, she dealt with social and labour law as well as HR. She then obtained a degree in HRM from UAMS and another one in Strategic C&B from Vlerick Business School. After a detour as Director HR and Finance at Facilicom, Birgit currently holds the function of HR Interim Manager. She is already running several long-term projects, including at Argenta, Protime and Grant Thornton.

Elke is an accountant-tax specialist and an expert in labour law and social consultation. She has held the position of secretary for the services sector at the Belgian trade union confederation ACV-CSC since mid-2014. The flexibilisation of work, digitization, the workability of work for an ageing workforce and other labour market developments are therefore issues she faces on a daily basis. Not only do these changes impact the relationship between employer and employee, they also constitute major challenges for the ACV-CSC itself.

Jean-Luc boasts over 35 years of experience in HR and payroll and joined the international division of SD Worx in 2014. With his background in IT and system engineering, he was one the driving forces behind the digital transformation process that took place within the SD Worx group. He is now CEO and Managing Director of SD Worx Global Solutions and in charge of SD Worx Germany.

Jurriaan started his career in sales, but soon made the switch to customer services and business transformation. He has been in charge of the Telenet Group contact centres for the past 18 months. Just before he moved to Belgium with his family, he was successively Director Customer Care Development and European Director Contact Centres at Liberty Global, the largest shareholder of Telenet Group.
