Welcome on this website about the impact of digitization on HR

Hello,

My name is Peter Hinssen, I am the author of the book 'The New Normal'. I study the adoption of new technologies by consumers, and I am a consultant in the field of business and IT alignment. On this website, SD Worx and myself address everyone who is committed to Human Resources.

Maybe you have not yet wondered what the impact of the digital revolution may be on human resources. Well, according to us, this impact will be tremendous. Both on a technological and on a cultural level, new questions are being raised. And we are only halfway there.

Digital has become the New Normal. Organizations will have to adapt their information strategy, their technology strategy, their innovation strategy and the way they are organized internally. HR will have to evolve as well, in order not to be left behind.

Digital revolution:
Is your HR department ready?

Peter Hinssen and SD Worx looked into the real impact of the digital revolution on organizations, on employees and on HR departments.

317 HR managers participated in our survey "HR in the New Normal". You can apply here for a report with the full results and the reflections of SD Worx and Peter Hinssen. The results will enable you to position your HR in the digital revolution. Or, in other words, it will show you how 'normal' you are in this digital society.

New questions for HR

The digital revolution raises a lot of new questions to HR. Some examples?

  • “What does the 'digital native generation' expect from its employer, and how should we respond to those new expectations?”
  • “How rigorous should we be in the workplace when it comes to the use of Internet and social media? Do we have to develop new policies?”
  • “How fast can we shift towards digital HR processes?”
  • “Do we have to introduce new benefits in our reward policies?”
  • “Which IT solutions truly deliver added value?”
  • “What should our future competences look like?”
  • “Should we encourage labor flexibility?”
  • etc…
